The hardest karaoke song in the world

The hardest karaoke song in the world

Iceland challenges all of us to sing this song!

At first you’ll think “hey this isn’t so complicated!” But wait for the second part of the song where the real struggle begins.
Can you say Hringvegurinn in rythm? I’m pretty sure that I can’t 😮 !
They have also made a video with tourists trying to keep up with Steindi and needless to say that Icelandic is a real challenge.

The tourist office of Iceland isn’t at its first video. You can take a look at their channel there are a few. But after watching this one, it’s hard to not wish to take a trip to Iceland…

The campaign is already a success, you can read the post that the Guardian made about it. They also listed the last campaigns run by the Icelandic tourist office and they were also very original (like an Icelandic Academy that teaches you to avoid akward situations in hottubs, how nice of them! We all need to master this art I think ;p)

We don’t have yet any School or University register in Iceland, so I take this occasion to say hello to:

  • Agricultural University of Iceland
  • Bifröst University
  • Hólar University College
  • Iceland Academy of the Arts
  • Reykjavík University
  • University of Akureyri
  • University of Iceland
  • Keilir

If you are looking for international students, you are welcome to join us! Send me a message!

Ps: And if any of these institutions register during the week, I will make a video of our team singing the hardest karoke song in the world!

Missed the fall intake? No worries, spring is coming!

Missed the fall intake? No worries, spring is coming!

For many reasons, as future freshmen, you could have missed the fall intake. You needed time to finish a project, or earn some money or add a skill to your resume. Now, you don’t have to wait until September 2018 to start your freshman life! More and more Schools and Universities have two intakes, it’s a fact. The year is divided into semesters, like the programmes. But did you know that a lot of the southern hemisphere countries have an academic year that starts in spring? So why not use this chance to go abroad and to start your year at the same time as the local students there?

For a lot of reasons, it’s interesting to start University at the same time as everyone else.

Why should you go abroad this spring?

  • integration, most welcome students events will be done at this period
  • programmes, more choice at the beginning of the year
  • accommodation, find room-mates will be easier too.
  • the weather, the idea of starting an academic year without the rain in fall but with the spring butterflies instead, is like a warm ray of sunlight to me.

Are you interested too? So the big question is:

Which countries start their academic year in Spring?

Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala , Honduras, India, Japan , Kenya , Malaysia , New Zealand, Nigeria , Singapore , South Africa , South Korea (Check our map to find all the locations)

This is not a comprehensive list but it already gives you a nice bunch of destinations with a spring intake. I use this opportunity to present to you the SolBridge International School of Business in South Korea. They will soon welcome a student met on HigherEdMe.

What do they do?

(quote from their website)

We are dedicated to producing top business leaders in Asia in all fields: business, politics, the military, and social activism, who will be prepared to be instruments of change in their respective societies. We do not focus only on the “hard skills” needed for such an undertaking, but also on the critically important “soft skills” that provide flexibility, understanding, and interpersonal leadership skills that will help in many environments. SolBridge offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business. All degree programs focus on Asian business and its relation to the rest of the world.

On HigherEdMe you can receive offers from South Korea thanks to the SolBridge International School of Business, but also from other countries with Spring intakes. For example, we have Schools and universities from South Africa, Malaysia, Australia, Chile, Argentina, India and China

Give it a try and create a dedicated wish for this 2018 spring intake!
