Interview with Mohamed

About Mohamed study abroad project

What do you want to study and why?

I would like to study communication because of the passion and also the need for such in a country like mine. The voice of the people needs to be heard, but in a society where 85% of the population is illiterate, there must be a few that will help for their voices to be heard, and most professional, it is a course that can be linked with my previous course in order to give a formidable result. Cause lately, most international organisations seek people with these professional skills in order to help convey their plans and policies. Cause that is the fundamental capital of every organisation.

Where are you from and where do you want to go?

I am from Africa, precisely the west and most precisely Guinea/Conakry. I love the culture and the people in my country. And as to what I am looking for in the country I want to study, firstly education and secondly awareness. Cause journalism or communication requires a bold and elegant person, and I think an exposed country like where I shall study will not just contribute in my education but also will help to enlighten me and give the strength and audacity to face the truth when I shall have returned to exhibit my profession.

Tell us more about you

what do you enjoy doing when you have spare time?

First of all, I love reading and playing football. ..During my spare times, I browse more on the Internet, for it links me with people and also serves as a means for me to get informed. Not alone, world striking ul issues are published there, but also it is one of the best sources of gaining knowledge nowadays. And I think it is due to.my intense interest in browsing that has gotten me the opportunity to meet HigherED

Is there a personality trait about you that you are proud of?

I am the person who always sees things differently. When most are asking themselves why I am like that I say why not. And I am well known for this, cause for me impossibility does not exist. And one of the things I am strong is talking, like seriously, I find pleasure in talking, I am always patient to listen to people in return to be allowed to speak and I and especially find pleasure in advising. It is owing to this that I would like to turn this God-given talent into professional skill.

A message for the higher education institutions

If there is anything you’d like to say to Universities who will see your profile?

Knowing Africa as it is, one of the richest continents in natural and human resources, but yet the poorest continent in the world due to bad governance and ignorant people citizens, I would like to further my studies to help change things not alone in my country but Africa and the world at large if granted this opportunity. The problem in Africa is not just the government but also the people. Therefore, a solid panel of communication is needed in order to help educate the people in every sector, and for me, hence there is a change of mentality, there is definitely a change in every sector of our lives. Look forward to.hearing from you.

If you can go abroad with a friend?

If I am given such an opportunity, I would not choose an individual because he is from my family but instead I know of a girl whom I barely share things with, but due to her commitment to the struggle of making my country a better place, in my opinion, a person like the such deserves to be offered such an opportunity. For not everyone shall benefit from a better education, but also the few that should benefit should be people that have started laying marks despite this precarious status. My conviction is that they will do better than he who is still waiting for the government to react positively
